Gidon Graetz (* 1929 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli sculptor .

life and work

Graetz was born in Tel Aviv and grew up in Haifa . In the mid-fifties of the 20th century he studied art at the Accademia della Belle Arti in Florence and at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris .

His artistic work is focused on the creation of metal sculptures of all sizes. The style is influenced by Constantin Brâncuși and Henry Moore . His monumental public sculptures can be found in many cities around the world such as B. Tel Aviv, New York, Los Angeles, Berlin or Zurich .

Graetz lives and works in Fiesole in the Tuscany region near Florence.
