Gila Kolb

Gila Kolb (* 1979 ) is a German art teacher .

Live and act

From 1999 to 2007 , Kolb studied art , German and political science at the University of Fine Arts, the Technical University of Braunschweig , the Universitat Politècnica de València and the University of Paris XII . She received her doctorate from the University of Cologne under Torsten Meyer with the working title “Being able to draw? Studies on an Art Education Paradigm ”.

From 2005–2006 she was a scholarship holder of the Siemens Arts Program “kiss - culture in school and studies” for future art educators and 2006–2007 project assistant at ADKV (Association of German Art Associations) in Berlin. From 2007–2011 she was a research assistant at the Kunsthochschule Kassel in the department of art education, followed by a job as a freelance art mediator for the Kunsthalle Fridericianum in Kassel (2008–2011). In addition, she was a scholarship holder of the doctoral program “Design and Recognize - Building Skills in the Artistic Subjects and Departments of School” at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich from 2011–2013 and was a substitute professor at the institute for art, music and media at the Heidelberg University of Education (2011–2012). She then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Art Studies – Film Studies – Art Education at the University of Bremen (2013–2015) and as a research assistant at the Institute for Art & Art Theory at the University of Cologne (2016–2017).
