The University of Paris XII ( French Université Paris 12 Val-de-Marne ), completely Université Paris-Est Créteil Val-de-Marne is a university in the greater Paris area . The main campus is in Créteil in the Val-de-Marne department ( Marne Valley ), but over time, additional locations have been added in Sénart , Fontainebleau and Vitry-sur-Seine . President is Jean-Luc Dubois-Randé

Like several other universities in the Paris metropolitan area, the university was founded in 1970 to relieve the central universities. In doing so, she was able to build on the Créteil Medical Faculty, which had been in existence for several years, and the Varenne-Saint-Hilaire University Center for Law and Economics.
