The Technical University of Belfort-Montbéliard (French: Université de technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard ) with three locations in the Hochburgund region ( Belfort , Sevenans and Montbéliard ) is one of only three technical universities in France.

history

It was founded in 1994 based on the model of the American University of Pennsylvania . Like the other two technical universities in Compiègene and Troyes, the TU Belfort-Montbéliard is a mixture between an engineering college and a conventional university.

Education

The course on is divided into a two-year basic course for everyone (so-called "integrated preparatory classes") and a subsequent three-year main course with more options. However, many students have completed their basic studies in a preparatory class or another university and only come to TU BM for their main studies. For example, after completing your basic studies at one of the three technical universities, you have the option of continuing your studies at one of the other two without an entrance exam. The main course ends with an engineering diploma in one of four different fields of study, namely computer science, mechanical engineering, process engineering or electrical engineering and control systems.

In addition to the engineering degree from the university, a state master’s degree can also be obtained.
