The ESC Rennes School of Business is a French Grande École for economics . ESC stands for École Supérieure de Commerce , French for commercial college. It was founded in 1990 in Rennes, the capital of Brittany, where the commercial college in the Villejean-Beauregard quarter is spread over three campus buildings, right next to the chamber of commerce and the prefecture. In 2016 it was renamed the Rennes School of Business .

The ESC Rennes School of Business is a member of the Conférence des grandes écoles and maintains a partnership with the International University in Rabat , whose PGE students study the same content and are sometimes taught by the same professors as those in Rennes.

Accreditations

The ESC Rennes is a member of the Conférence des grandes écoles. The ESC Rennes has been accredited by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) for its Grande Ecole program. The accreditation by the AACSB took place in 2012 and that of the AMBA in 2013. At the end of 2014, the EQUIS accreditation by EFMD, which is also referred to as the so-called "triple crown" .

Rankings

In the Financial Times Ranking 2013, in which alumni were asked about their income development after the MBA, the ESC Rennes ranked 36th worldwide with its Masters in Management program. In 2014 it was 23rd out of 81 participants.

In France, the ESC Rennes, together with Audencia Nantes and IESEG Paris, ranks 6/36 in the field of academic excellence.

The Grande École program

The Renner Program Grande École underlines the international orientation of the ESC Rennes, insofar as it is taught exclusively in English, with the exception of a few introductory events.

The IBPM, International Bachelor Program in Management, leads to a Bachelor's degree in management in three years.

In cooperation with the University College Dublin and the University of Amsterdam , the ESC Rennes is running a PhD program in management. There is also an international DBA program that is carried out in cooperation with partner universities in China (Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications) and Brazil (Fundação Getulio Vargas).
