The Institut national des sciences appliquées de Strasbourg ( INSA de Strasbourg ; German National Institute of Applied Sciences in Strasbourg ) is a French state architecture and engineering college in Strasbourg . It belongs to the network «  Institut national des sciences appliquées  ».

history

Imperial Technical School Strasbourg, 1910
  • January 2, 1875: Founding as a "Technical Winter School for Meadow Construction Technicians"
  • 1887: new department "road and hydraulic engineering"
  • 1895: The school is renamed "Imperial Technical School".
  • 1896: new department "Technical School for Mechanical Engineering"
  • 1897: new department "Technical school for the training of surveyors"
  • 1919: The school is called École nationale technique de Strasbourg  " ("Strasbourg National Technical University").
  • 1920: new subject area "electrical engineering"
  • 1950: The school is renamed École nationale d'ingénieurs de Strasbourg  " ("Strasbourg National Engineering College").
  • 1966: ENIS becomes the «  École nationale supérieure des arts et industries de Strasbourg  » (ENSAIS).
  • 2003: The school becomes a university of the “  Institut national des sciences appliquées  ” and renamed “  INSA de Strasbourg  ”.
