from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The university association Institut national des sciences appliquées ( INSA , German: National Institute of Applied Sciences ) consists of scientific grandes écoles for the training of highly qualified engineers in France . The central administration is located in Toulouse .

There are five such universities in France ( Lyon , Rennes , Rouen , Strasbourg and Toulouse ). Each university offers different specializations in natural sciences in different departments . Training lasts 3 or 5 years (some INSA offer the design of the one he cycle to. See Grande école ) and with a PFE ( Projet de fin d'études . See thesis completed). In addition to the acquisition of professional qualifications, multilingualism is important. There are many collaborations with foreign universities and the proportion of foreign students at the universities themselves is relatively high; There are cooperation agreements with many universities outside France which enable the acquisition of a double degree. Due to the strong industrial character of the training, a Diplôme de l'INSA is a prestigious degree in France.

INSA offers special programs to host foreign students, including:

  • ASINSA for students from Vietnam, China, ...
  • EURINSA for students from Germany, Spain, Italy, ...
  • AMERINSA for students from Brazil, Argentina, ...
