The University of Valenciennes ( French: Université de Valenciennes , completely Université de Valenciennes et du Hainaut - Cambrésis ) is a state university in the northern French city ​​of Valenciennes .

In addition to four campuses in Valenciennes itself ( Mont Houy , Les Tertiales , le Moulin , Ronzier ), the university has two branch offices, one in Cambrai and one in Maubeuge .

It was founded in 1968, but is still a comparatively small and manageable university today. It is still a full university , which, apart from medicine, offers courses from all areas.

Research in Valenciennes has made a name for itself in the fields of transport , information technology and industrial engineering .
