Gilda Aita

Gilda Aita (born May 2, 1943 in Graz ) is an Austrian sculptor , painter and graphic artist .

Live and act

After studying sculpture with Wander Bertoni and drawing with Adolf Frohner at the University of Applied Arts Vienna from 1964 to 1970, she studied printmaking with Alfred Billy at the Art University Linz from 1981 to 1983 . From 1996 to 2009 she was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus . Since 1983 she has been a member of the Upper Austrian Art Association . During the twelve years that she lived in Graefelfing , she was a founding member of the Graefelfing art group in 1980.

Since 1983 she has presented her pictures and sculptures in various materials as well as etchings and pictures in the context of solo exhibitions and participations at home and abroad. Her works are characterized by accurate caricature statements and their artistic implementation and have a cheeky visual wit.
