The Gildea Glacier is a glacier in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It flows in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains from the Craddock massif westward between Mount Slaughter and Mount Atkinson to the Nimitz Glacier . It is also fed by the ice masses of the Hammer Col and the southern Vinson massif .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2006 after the Australian mountaineer and polar explorer Damien Gildea (* 1969), who headed several expeditions of the Omega Foundation to the Sentinel Range and Livingston Island between 2000 and 2005. Gildea climbed Mount Craddock over this glacier.
