Gilles Quenéhervé

Gilles Quenéhervé (born May 16, 1966 in Paris ) is a former French athlete and Olympian. With a height of 1.78 m, his competition weight was 73 kg.

Gilles Quenéhervé was fourth at the European Championships in 1986 with the French 4 x 100 meter relay . In 1987 he was fourth in the 200-meter run at both the European Indoor Championships and the World Indoor Championships . In the summer of the outdoor world championships , he was in the final of the 200-meter run and ran (only set by Christophe Lemaitre in 2010 and improved in 2011) French record with 20.16 s. After the photo finish, he was second at the same time as the winning American Calvin Smith . Another two hundredths of a second was British John Regis .

At the 1988 Olympic Games , he was sixth in the 200-meter run in 20.40 s. The French season won bronze in the cast of Bruno Marie-Rose , Daniel Sangouma , Gilles Quenéhervé and Max Morinière in 38.40 s behind the Soviet Union and Great Britain.

At the European Championships in 1990 , he just missed the final over 200 meters. Due to illness, he was not able to work in the relay. His three season colleagues from 1988 together with Jean-Charles Trouabal became European champions in world record time.

At the Olympic Games in 1992 he failed over 200 meters in the quarter-finals. Later, the French season was eliminated with Quenéhervé in the semifinals.

At the 1997 World Championships he was once again with the relay in a grand finale, but the relay was disqualified.
