Gina Albert , born as Sigrid Astrath , (born May 2, 1938 ) is / was a German film actress who appeared in four movies at the end of the 1950s.

biography

Gina Albert was an accountant when she of the Berlin CCC Film of Artur Brauner as an actress for her first film Girls in Uniform was discovered (1958). Directed by Géza von Radványi , she played the role of boarding school student Margot von Raakow alongside the leading actresses, Lilli Palmer , Romy Schneider and Therese Giehse .

In the German-Brazilian-US-American coproduction Tom Dooley - Hero of the Green Hell , also known under the title Call of the Wild , which was presented at the 1958 Berlinale , Gina Albert already played the leading role, a young woman who fell between two men stands. John Sutton and Richard Olizar were their partners. The director of the film Zygmunt Sulistrowski was nominated for the Golden Bear .

Albert's next film was the crime drama Der Mann im Strom (1958) with Hans Albers and Helmut Schmid . Albert played the female lead. Eugen York was the director of the film, based on a novel by Siegfried Lenz .

The actress's last film is the adventure romance Tunisi top secret (German Sahara files - strictly confidential , 1959), an Italian-German coproduction by Bruno Paolinelli with Elsa Martinelli , Giorgia Moll , Raf Mattioli , Claus Biederstaedt , Gina Albert and Willy Fritsch in the leading roles. Albert played a countess.
