Giorgos Krommidas

Giorgos Krommidas ( Greek Γιώργος Κρομμύδας , * 1936 in Kavala / Greece ) is a Greek - German writer .

Life

Giorgos Krommidas is a native Greek . He came to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1961 . He gave up the planned study of architecture and carried out various activities until 1984. In addition , he often played in casinos , was a croupier himself and at times ran his own gaming clubs . Since 1985 he has been writing literary texts in German . Krommidas lives in Bonn .

Giorgos Krommidas is the author of short stories and poems in which he mainly deals with personal experiences. He is a member of the Association of German Writers , the writers' association “ Die Kogge ” and the Bonn Literature Association . In 1988 and 1996 he received a work grant from the Ministry of Culture of North Rhine-Westphalia .
