Giorgos Lillikas
Giorgos Lillikas ( Greek Γιώργος Λιλλήκας , born June 1, 1960 in Panagia ) is a Greek Cypriot politician and former minister of the Republic of Cyprus .
Life
Lillikas studied political science and oriental studies in Lyon and Grenoble .

While he initially appeared to be embarking on an academic career in France , he became an adviser to Cypriot President Georges Vassiliou in the late 1980s . Afterwards he was involved in anti-drug politics for several years and campaigned for the disabled.
After a stage in the private sector - from 1993 to 1996 he headed a PR and lobbying agency - he became a member of parliament for the left-wing AKEL in 1996 . During the following seven years he took on numerous parliamentary tasks and functions, including those with an international dimension; he headed the Cypriot delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly .
After Tassos Papadopoulos was elected President of Cyprus in 2003 , Lillikas became Minister of Trade and Industry. After a cabinet change in 2006, he became Foreign Minister and remained that way until July 16, 2007.
