Adrianus Broekman

Adrianus Johannes Broekman (born July 7, 1724 in Rotterdam , † November 28, 1800 in Amsterdam ) was the third old Catholic bishop of Haarlem from 1778 to 1800 .

After attending the seminary in Amersfoort from 1736 and his ordination on July 28, 1749, he was pastor in Amsterdam until 1752 , then in Culemborg and from 1765 to 1771/72 in Amersfoort, from 1765 to 1778 also president of the local seminary. He was elected on March 1, 1778 as Bishop of Haarlem and received on June 21, 1778 by Archbishop Gualtherus Michael van Nieuwenhuizen the episcopal ordination . At the same time he took up the pastor's office at the Church of St. Anna in Amsterdam.
