Márkos Kyprianoú , Greek Μάρκος Κυπριανού [ ˈmarkɔs kipriaːˈnu ] (pronounced Márkos Kiprianú , born January 22, 1960 in Limassol ) is a Cypriot politician. From February 2008 to August 2011 he washis country's foreign minister . He was previously the EU Commissioner in Brussels . He is the son of Spýros Kyprianoú , the Cypriot President from 1977 to 1988.
