Giovanni Angelo Barella , also Hans Engel Barella (or Borella ), († 1695 in Mainz ) was an Italian builder in Kurmainz .

Life

Originally a stonemason and master bricklayer of Italian origin, he lived in the city of Mainz, whose citizen he had been since 1659, until his death. As the electoral builder under Anselm Franz von Ingelheim , Barella was responsible for a large number of baroque sacred and manorial buildings, as was his palace builder . He died in Mainz in 1695, at Heringsbrunnengasse 7 , the same year that Anselm Franz von Ingelheim died.
