Giovanni Arcangeli

Giovanni Arcangeli (born July 18, 1840 in Florence , † July 16, 1921 in Pisa ) was an Italian botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is “ Arcang. ".

In 1880 he became a professor in Turin . From 1882 he was director of the Botanical Garden of Pisa. The genus Arcangelisia Becc. from the family of the moon seed plants (Menispermaceae) has been named after him.
