Giovanni Battista Peruzzo CP (born July 14, 1878 in Molare ; † July 20, 1963 there ) was an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Agrigento .

Life

Secondino Petronio Lacchio joined the religious order of the Passionists, made his profession on July 26, 1894 and was ordained a priest on January 13, 1901 . Pius XI. appointed him on January 5, 1924 auxiliary bishop in Mantova and titular bishop of Euroea in Epiro .

He received his episcopal ordination on February 10th of the same year by the secretary of the Consistorial Congregation , Cardinal Gaetano De Lai ; Co-consecrators of goods Vizegerent in Rome , Giuseppe Palica and the Auxiliary Bishop of Sabina Farfa , Antonio Micozzi .

The Pope appointed him Bishop of Oppido Mamertina on October 19, 1928 . On January 15, 1932, he was appointed Bishop of Agrigento. Pius XII. appointed him archbishop ad personam on March 29, 1952 . He attended the first session of the Second Vatican Council .
