Girls in the House is the debut album of the German Pop - girl group Preluders that on 24 November 2003 by Polydor was published. It was produced by Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen and Gena Wernik. The album reached number two in Germany and was awarded a gold record for more than 100,000 copies sold. It contains eleven other songs as well as the band's first and only number one hit , Everyday Girl .

Preluders released a cover version of the song Losing My Religion by REM as a single , which sold over 600,000 times, yet they only reached second place in the ProSieben casting competition Popstars . Everyday Girl was released as the second single , which was also very successful as a number one hit in Germany in 2003 . An album was then recorded.

The songs Catch Me , Tattoo You , Bye Bye for the Better and Born to Love You Forever are “mid-tempo ballads ”. Sundown is a song that is reminiscent of Modern Talking in style .

Stefan Johannesberg from laut.de criticizes the impression the band leaves with the album: “The pre-pubescent sluts lack charisma and class everywhere.”, But sees “at least a few good approaches”.
