Giro Annen
Gerhard (Giro) Annen (born June 17, 1957 in Chur ) is a Swiss artist .
Annen is a sculptor and draftsman ; he creates object art , painting and photography . In 1993 and 1994 Annen was awarded the Federal Art Scholarship , in 1994 the Art Commission of the City of Bern and a cantonal scholarship for a stay in Paris . In 1998 he had a solo exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Bern , and in 2006/2007 a solo exhibition at the Kunsthaus Langenthal . The focus of Annens work is sculptural creation with a broad formal spectrum and the combination of unusual materials.
