Gisa Klaunig (born November 24, 1992 in Preetz ) is a former German handball player who was most recently under contract with the Bundesliga club HSG Blomberg-Lippe .
Career
Klaunig started playing handball at the age of five at TSV Schönberg. In the C-youth, the closed back court player of TSG Concordia Schönkirchen on with which it ran aground later in the A-Youth Regional. In the 2010/11 season she had double play rights for the second division TSV Travemünde . In the following season she only ran for Travemünde. In November 2011, Klaunig tore a cruciate ligament , after which she had to pause for several months. In the 2012/13 season, the right-hander played for third division club 1. FC Köln , where she was the top scorer in the west season with 183 goals.
Klaunig was signed in the summer of 2013 by the HSG Blomberg-Lippe Bundesliga , where she made her Bundesliga debut on August 31, 2013. Furthermore, she was initially used in the 2nd team that competed in the 3rd division. In the 2013/14 DHB Cup competition , Klaunig and Blomberg reached the final, which was lost to hosts HC Leipzig . After the 2018/19 season, she ended her career.
