Gisbert couple
Gisbert Paar (born December 20, 1948 in Uder ) is a German politician ( CDU ).
Couple attended the Polytechnic High School in Uder and the Extended High School in Heiligenstadt and passed the Abitur. At the same time he completed vocational training as an agricultural engineer . He studied veterinary medicine at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig and graduated as a qualified veterinarian. In 1980 he graduated as Dr. med. vet. , two years later followed a post-graduate course to become a specialist veterinarian in state veterinary science. After completing his studies, from 1982 on, Paar worked as a specialist veterinarian and as head of the building hygiene department at the District Veterinary Institute in Bad Langensalza .
Paar joined the CDU in 1967. There he was from 1979 to 1989 deputy chairman of local branch in Bad Langensalza, 1990, he was ibid deputy district chairman. He belonged to the last, for the first time freely elected, People's Chamber and, after German reunification , to the German Bundestag until the end of 1990 . After his time as a member of parliament, Paar worked as head of unit; From 2009 to 2013 he headed the department for consumer protection, occupational safety and veterinary affairs in the Thuringian Ministry of Social Affairs, Family and Health in Erfurt .
