Gitti Müller

Gitti Müller (born November 6, 1956 in Cologne ) is a German journalist , author and ethnologist .

Life

After completing her training as a travel agent, she lived in Paris and South America for several years . Back in Germany, she did her high school diploma and studied ethnology, German and Romance languages at the University of Bonn and at the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano in Puno , Peru .

As an ethnologist, she conducted research in Bolivia on the traditional use of coca by the Aymara Indians and on the socialization of Indian children on Lake Titicaca , topics that she later pursued as a journalist. Since 1994 she has been working as a television journalist and author, first for the South American magazine of Deutsche Welle , then for West German Broadcasting , among others for the magazines Monitor , Panorama , Markt and the documentary series Menschen Close . She has received numerous awards for her articles and reports.

Gitti Müller lives in Bonn .
