Giulia Quintavalle (born March 6, 1983 in Livorno ) is an Italian judoka .
Giulia Quintavalle starts in the lightweight class. At the European Championships in Rotterdam in 2005 , she finished fifth. 2007 was also a good year for the Italian. In Rio de Janeiro she reached fifth place at the world championships, and she also came second at the Super World Cup in Moscow . She achieved the same placement at the 2008 World Cup in Rome . At the European Championships Quintavalle was fifth. The Italian achieved her greatest international success at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . In the final, she was able to prevail against the bronze medalist of the previous Olympic Games in Athens , Deborah Gravenstijn , and won the gold medal. Four years later, she finished fifth at the 2012 Olympics .
