Giuseppe Fava

Giuseppe Fava , also known as Pippo (born September 15, 1925 in Palazzolo Acreide , Sicily , † January 5, 1984 in Catania , Sicily), was an Italian journalist , writer and playwright .

Life

1943 Fava moved to Catania and began law study. In 1947 he completed his studies and in 1952 he started working full-time as a journalist for the daily newspaper Espresso sera in Catania, where he stayed until 1978. He also wrote plays, novels, non-fiction and screenplays. On January 5, 1984, he was murdered by the Mafia in Catania in front of the theater he founded, in which his anti-Mafia play L'ultima violenza was performed.

In his work he dealt among other things with the topics of violence and the mafia.

Claudio Fava is the son of Giuseppe Fava.
