Giuseppe Gracia
Giuseppe Gracia (born 1967 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss writer , journalist and communications consultant .
Life
Gracia is the son of a Sicilian and a Spanish woman . He processed his experiences as a secondo in the books Riss (1995), Kippbedingungen (2002) and Santinis Frau (2006). He worked as a PR consultant and held mandates for several companies in the Principality of Liechtenstein . In 2007 he started studying theology . In 2008 he became head of communications for the diocese of Basel . In 2011 he moved to the diocese of Chur as a representative for media and communication . There he became a member of the Bishops' Council and was spokesman for Bishop Vitus Huonder until March 2019 . Since 2019 he has been the spokesman for Bishop Peter Bürcher, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Chur. Since 2016 he has been a guest author for the Axis of the Good , since 2017 also for Focus Online and since 2018 a columnist for Blick .
In 2017 Gracia published the novel Farewell , the plot of which deals with Islamist terror, Christianity and the values of the Western world . In 2018 his non-fiction book The Therapeutic Caliphate , which deals with the state of freedom of expression in Western Europe, was published. In 2020 the novel The Last Enemy , which is about an international conspiracy around the Vatican, was published, set in the field of tension between Christianity and postmodernism.
Gracia is married and has two children. He is a Catholic and lives in St. Gallen.
