Giuseppe Prisco

Giuseppe "Peppino" Prisco (born December 10, 1921 in Milan , † December 12, 2001 ibid) was an Italian lawyer , football official and official of the Alpini regiment in L'Aquila .

Prisco, who was of Neapolitan descent, became an Inter Milan fan in 1929 .

From 1963 to 2001, Prisco was Vice President of the Nerazzurri . During this time, Inter twice won the European Champion Clubs' Cup , three times the UEFA Cup , twice the World Cup , six times the Italian championship , twice the Italian Cup and once the Italian Super Cup .

Prisco died on December 12, 2001, and the funeral service took place two days later in the church of Santa Maria della Passione . Not only did the entire club take part, but also numerous supporters of Inter.

  • The official club anthem of Inter, C'è solo l'Inter , is dedicated to Prisco and shows an excerpt from an interview with him in the intro of the music video.
  • In Italy, the Prisco Award, named after Prisco, is presented annually for loyalty, sincerity and affection in and for the world of sport.
  • Inter's supporters remember Prisco mainly because of his mocking and witty remarks about opposing teams such as AC Milan or Juventus Turin .
