Gleißenthal is a district of the town of Windischeschenbach in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district in Bavaria . The place is west of Windischeschenbach. The Rumpelbach , a right tributary of the Waldnaab , flows to the north and the Fichtelnaab to the east . The A 93 runs a little further east .
history
Gleißenthal is first mentioned in 1152; later it was the residence of the Lords of Gleißenthal . The Burgstall Gleißenthal, which was sold in 1408, was probably their first seat in the area.
Attractions
The Maria Hilf chapel (Gleißenthal) , built in 1747 and expanded in 1770, is classified as a monument . The building is registered as a listed building under the number D-3-74-168-31 in the list of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation .
