history

The Gleiwitz hut was built by the Gleiwitz section of the DuOeAV and inaugurated in 1900. After the Second World War , the hut was alternately looked after as the "Hoch-Tenn-Hütte" between 1949 and 1954 by the sections Zell am See , Rohrbach and Amstetten . After the Gleiwitz Section was re-established in Lübeck in 1954, the hut was returned to them. From 1968 the hut was looked after jointly by the Gleiwitz and Tittmoning sections . In 1972 the Tittmoning section acquired the Gleitwitzer Hütte from the DAV main association. The Burghausen section of the DAV maintains a hut sponsorship.
