Glen Mazzara (born July 6, 1967 in Manhattan ) is an American television producer and author.

life and career

Mazzara was born in Manhattan and grew up in Queens, New York. He attended New York University and earned a Masters in English. He worked as a hospital administrator in New York before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a writing career in 1998.

He was the screenwriter for the fourth and fifth seasons of Nash Bridges . He joined the drama series The Shield as the executive story editor and writer for its first season in 2002.

In 2009 he joined the Hawthorne medical drama series for two seasons as executive producer and writer. In 2010 he wrote episode 5, "Wildfire," of the AMC series The Walking Dead .
