The Glomerellales form an order of the hose fungi within the subclass of the Hypocreomycetidae . The representatives of the Glomerellales show - unlike those of the other orders of the Hypocreomycetidae - darkly pigmented perithecia .

description

The original description of the Glomerellales is as follows:

" Ascomata perithecia, brunnea usque nigra, nonnumquam sclerotioidea, ostiolum periphysatum. Pariete ascomatum 2-3-stratoso. Hamathecium paraphyses verae. Asci unitunicati, brevi-stipitati, parte apicali iodo non reagente. Ascosporae hyalinae vel pallide pigmentatae, 0-pluri-cellulares. Anamorphic: conidia modo phialidico orientia. "
“Perithecia with dark pigmentation, sometimes become more or less sclerotic . Wall of the perithecium two or three layers, ostiole (small opening at the top) periphysate. Interascales tissue made up of thin-walled, tapered paraphyses . Asci with a single-layer shell (unitunicate), thin-walled, apex thickened without a visible exit mechanism or thin-walled with a detached apical annulus , inamyloid , 8-spore. Ascospores hyaline or pigmented, without septa . Anamorphic with phialidic conidio genesis. "

Taxonomy

The order of the Glomerellales was first established by Chadefaud in 1960, but has not yet been validly published . Thereafter, the name of Lanier et al. (1978) cited and again not validly published by Locquin (1984). However, the name Glomerellales was not an accepted scientific name until the publication by Réblová et al. (2011).

The glomerellales are regarded as strictly monophyletic .

Familys

The order Glomerellales includes three families:
