The Gmina Kraśniczyn [ krasˈnɨczyn ] is a rural community in the Powiat Krasnostawski of the Lublin Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name with around 450 inhabitants.
geography
The rural community has an area of 110 km², 73% is used for agriculture and 20% for forestry. The Wojsławka, a right tributary of the Wieprz , is one of the waters .
history
The region around Kraśniczyn, which lost its town charter in 1824, belonged to Gmina Czajki from 1919 to 1954 . From 1975 to 1998 the rural community belonged to the Chełm Voivodeship .

Anielpol, Bończa, Bończa-Kolonia, Brzeziny, Chełmiec, Czajki, Drewniki, Franciszków, Kraśniczyn, Łukaszówka, Majdan Surhowski, Olszanka, Pniaki, Stara Wieś, Surhów, Surhniców-Kolonia, Wolica, Wólastska Kraśnuów.
