God's Entertainment (GE) is an experimental theater performance collective from Vienna .

Participants and story

The group of artists founded in 2006 consists u. a. from Boris Ceko, a qualified medical technician and student of theater studies , the trained carpenter and architecture student Simon Steinhauser as well as Maja Degirmendzic, Thomas Pavlidi, Bernhard Tobola, Jevgeni Beliaikin, Lena Wicke, Michael Miess, Zsuzsanna Iszlay, Domokos Iszlay, Max Max and Christian Ruppel. Since it was founded, GE has worked in various artistic fields in the areas of performance, happening , and visual art, Sound and event organization and, according to his own statements, is always in confrontation with the political and cultural identity of Austria. GE does not only use the theater stage as a playing field. Numerous actions take place in public space, whereby the audience is always included in the action and shapes most of her works.

The actions are known for their intensity and sometimes end with a black eye, a broken rib and a broken nose, as in the performance "Fight Club realtekken". Two viewers were given joysticks with which they could control two real people using light signals. As a result, the two players hit and kicked each other like in a video game, while the other guests made their bets.

The group has produced shows and events at theaters and cultural venues across Europe, including a. in Vienna ( brut Wien , WUK , Ragnarhof, dietheater, Konzerthaus, Wiener Festwochen ), Krems (Donaufestival), Linz (brechREIZ), Hamburg ( kampnagel ), Berlin (Sophiensäle: Freischwimmer Festival), Erlangen ( ARENA of the young arts ), Bochum , Munich, Zurich (Stromereien Performance Festival), Liverpool, Žilina , Brno and Prague.
