Gohana is a city (Municipal Council) in the north-west Indian state of Haryana .

Gohana is 80 km northwest of the federal capital New Delhi . The city belongs to the Sonipat district . Surrounding cities are the district capital Sonipat , Panipat , Jind and Rohtak . The national highway NH 71A (Rohtak – Panipat) runs through Gohana.

The city of Gohana had 65,708 inhabitants at the 2011 census. Almost 96% of the population were Hindus .
