Golden Isles of Georgia is the collective name for four barrier islands in the Atlantic in front of the port entrance of the city of Brunswick in the American state of Georgia .
In addition to the four islands - St. Simons Island , Sea Island , Jekyll Island and Little St. Simons Island - Brunswick itself is also recorded under the collective name. All five locations are in Glynn County . The name "golden islands" goes back to the 18th century.
The Golden Isles are part of the Sea Islands chain along the coast of the states of South Carolina , Georgia and Florida .
