Golden Bay Leaf (Liechtenstein)

The government's golden laurel leaf for special services to sport in Liechtenstein is the Principality of Liechtenstein's highest honor in the field of sport and has been awarded since 2003 to people who have made particular contributions to sport in the Principality, as well as to successful athletes. The award was created on the initiative of the Liechtenstein Sports Commission.

Appearance of the award

The award consists of an acrylic sheet into which an 18-carat gold-plated bay leaf has been poured. Two oxidized silver balls are attached to the base of the leaves. The Liechtenstein national coat of arms is engraved on the back of the acrylic sheet. The lettering is in the colors silver and gold. Each award is unique.
