The golden salmon ( Argentina silus , bigeye ) is a fish from the northern Atlantic . Its distribution area extends from the coast of Norway and Svalbard over the Skagerrak , the northern, deeper parts of the North Sea , the west coasts of Ireland and Scotland and the Wyville-Thomson Ridge to Iceland , over the Denmark Strait to the south coast of Greenland and over the Davis Strait to the coast from Labrador , Newfoundland and to Georges Bank . Way of life
