Gonçalo Jardim Brandão (born October 9, 1986 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese football player . He is under contract with FC Lausanne-Sport .

Career

societies

Gonçalo Jardim Brandão started his professional career in 2003 with Belenenses Lisbon . In his first season he played twelve games in which he scored his first professional goal. He reached 15th place in the SuperLiga with Belenenses and was only relegated to the Liga de Honra , the second highest division in Portugal, due to the better goal difference against FC Alverca . In the following season he received only sporadic missions in the professional team and was awarded to Charlton Athletic for the 2005/06 season . At Charlton, he did not play a single league game and then returned to Belenenses. The team's results improved and the capitals finished fifth and eighth in the league for the next two years. Brandão, on the other hand, hardly got a chance, he only received three missions at Belenenses. Due to the lack of match practice, he left the club in June 2008.

In the summer of 2008 his transfer to the Italian Serie A club AC Siena was announced, with which he signed a five-year contract. With the Tuscans, he was able to establish himself in the regular formation after a somewhat difficult start and managed to stay in Serie A with Siena. In the summer of 2012, FC Parma signed him after he had played there on loan for a year. He was immediately loaned to AC Cesena in Serie B. After his return in 2013, a loan deal was agreed with the Romanian first division club CFR Cluj . There he was only used once in the first half of the 2013/14 season . In early 2014 he was loaned to his former club Belenenses Lisbon. With the newcomer, he secured a place in the class at the end of the 2013/14 season . He then returned to Italy and initially moved to AC Siena. A short time later, Belenenses took him under contract again. He has been playing for GD Estoril Praia since the beginning of 2017 .

National team

Brandão made his debut on March 31, 2009 in a friendly against South Africa for the Portuguese national team . He was allowed to play the whole game in a 2-0 win. His second appearance for Portugal followed on June 10, 2009 against Estonia.
