Shadowside is a Brazilian metal band from Santos .

history

The band was founded in 2001 by the singer Dani Nolden, the drummer Fabio Buitvidas, the guitarist Raphael Mattos and the bassist Fernando Peto in Santos. In the same year the EP Shadowside was released as the first recording of the band. She was also the opening act for bands like Nightwish , Primal Fear and Shaman .

Her debut album Theater of Shadows was released in 2005. A year later, Shadowside opened up for Helloween on their Brazil tour. That same year, the band was nominated for Best Band by Chief of Roadie Crew Magazine . The band's lead singer and album were also suggested.

In July 2007 - after the band was represented in the radio lists worldwide - the band won the AirPlay Direct All Things Digital Hard Rock / Heavy Metal against 1,000 other bands from around the world.

Between 2008 and 2009 the band went on tour in Brazil and North America for the first time . Her album, Dare to Dream , which was produced in 2009 by Dave Schiffman (including Audioslave , System of a Down and Six Feet Under ) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (including Iron Maiden , Metallica and Pantera ), is also being released in the US through CD Baby and Amazon .
