Gonzalo Latorre , full name Gonzalo José Latorre Bovio , (born April 26, 1996 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.72-meter-tall offensive player Latorre went through all youth teams of Club Atlético Peñarol . At the end of January 2015, he moved to the first division club Atlético Atenas . At the club from San Carlos he made his debut under coach Edgardo Arias on March 27, 2015 in the 1: 4 home defeat against the Rampla Juniors in the Primera División , when he came on for Óscar Arce in the 72nd minute . In the 2014/15 season he played in a total of eight top division games (no goal). Latorre is represented by player agent Daniel Fonseca , who had already signed a preliminary contract with Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte for him before moving to Atenas .

National team

Latorre was a member of the U-15 national team of Uruguay . With this he took part in the U-15 South American Championship in 2011 . On May 29, 2012 he made his debut under coach Fabián Coito in the 1-1 draw in the friendly against Paraguay in the Uruguayan U-17 team . He was a member of the squad at the 2013 U-17 South American Championship in Argentina , where Uruguay finished fourth. He completed seven tournament games and scored twice in the opposing goal. He also took part with the U-17 at the U-17 World Cup in 2013 in the United Arab Emirates . At the World Cup he was used in four games. He didn't score a goal. Uruguay failed to Nigeria in the quarterfinals. So far (as of June 13, 2015) it has been deployed a total of 28 times in the U-17. The statistics show him nine international goals. He has also already been appointed to the U-20s in Uruguay . There he started on November 11, 2014 in a 2-1 victory over the Federación Gaúcha . In the following years he also played in the international matches on November 13, 2014 (Federación Gaúcha), November 24, 2014 (Peru) and November 30, 2014 (Panama). He did not manage to score a personal goal. Only in the penalty shootout against Panama did he convert his penalty.
