Goodies is the debut album by the American singer Ciara , who moves musically in the R&B , pop and hip-hop areas . The album was sold over 125,000 times worldwide in the first week. It has been awarded platinum three times by the RIAA . So far the album has been sold about 5 million times, including 3 million times in America. The first single was Goodies .

Ciara recorded almost the entire album in Atlanta . Four of the songs ( 1, 2 Step , Thug Style , Pick Up the Phone , and Lookin 'at You ) were produced by Jazze Pha two years before the album was released and made on the album. R&B singer and songwriter R. Kelly wrote and produced the song Next to You . Ciara wrote her fourth single, And I , herself.
