Goran Ikonić (born March 23, 1980 in Zvornik , SR Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a Bosnian basketball player .

Career

Ikonić first played for smaller clubs in his home country Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia . In 2005 he moved to KK Bosna , a top team in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian league . With this team he won the championship in 2006 and 2008 and the Bosnian Cup in 2009 and reached the second round in the 2007/08 ULEB Cup . For the 2009/10 season he moved to Donetsk, where he was unsuccessful. The 2010/11 season Ikonić played at KK Krka Novo mesto in Slovenia. With Krka he won the EuroChallenge in 2011 , where Ikonić was elected MVP of the Final Four.

For the 2011/12 season he moved to Turkey to Karşıyaka SK, where he was rarely used and finally moved to Polit.-Halychyna in Ukraine.

Goran Ikonić has been appointed to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian national basketball team several times and also took part in the 2011 European Championship , but is currently not part of the squad.
