The flowers are solitary in the leaf axils. The flower stalks are 0.7 to 2 inches long and hairy. The outer cup consists of three at the base intergrown bracts . They are wider than long, up to 3 cm in size, sparsely hairy on the veins, with six to eight teeth in front, heart-shaped at the base. The bowl-shaped goblet is five-lobed or cut straight. The petals are yellowish, each with a reddish spot at the base. They are inverted egg-shaped and measure 2.5 to 3.5 cm in length by 3 to 4 cm in width. The columna is 1 cm long.

The capsule fruit is three to five parts, oval or elongated, beaked in front. It grows to 2.5 to 3 cm in size. The oval seeds are 0.6 to 0.9 cm in size. They are surrounded by long white fibers and short, relatively firmly adhering fibers.
