Gottfried Amendt
Gottfried Amendt (born October 7, 1945 in Leidersbach ) is a German Catholic priest .
Career
Amendt grew up as a half-orphan . On June 29, 1974, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Josef Stangl in Würzburg . His time as chaplain took him to Bad Neustadt , Kirchlauter and Gerolzhofen . From 1977 to 1990 he was rector of the Matthias Ehrenfried House in Würzburg and youth minister of the Würzburg city dean's office . In addition, from 1978 to 1978 he was diocesan curate of the St. George Scouting Society (PSG). From 1990 he was a hospital chaplain at the Würzburg University Hospital for 20 years . Since his age-related retirement at the end of January 2011, he has been working as a pastor in the Medical Mission Clinic in Würzburg.
He significantly shaped the pilgrimage movement in the Franconian Sankt Jakobus Society in Würzburg.
