Gottfried Möckel

Gottfried Möckel (born April 10, 1926 in Jaur near Liegnitz , Lower Silesia; † January 15, 2009 in Ruppertshain - Kelkheim ) was a German music publisher .

Life

Möckel completed a bank apprenticeship . After the war, he took over a tax consulting practice in Löbau . In 1951 he left Löbau and moved to Berlin. He then held a managerial position at an auditing company based in Frankfurt am Main . In 1979 he took over the music publisher Breitkopf & Härtel in Wiesbaden , where he was a managing partner until 2009.

Möckel was awarded the Federal Republic of Germany's Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 2007 .
