Gottlieb Georg Schramm (born May 22, 1640 in Graefenhainichen , † July 4, 1673 in Fraustadt ) was a German medic.

Life

Schramm studied philosophy and medicine at the University of Wittenberg . at the age of 21 he submitted his dissertation there in 1661. He then set out on an educational trip via Hamburg , Amsterdam and Leiden to Antwerp , which he reached in 1665. After a long stay there (apparently Schramm always studied or worked in the respective cities) he traveled on to Ghent and Brussels . After returning home, he embarked on another trip, during which he finally stayed in the Silesian woman city and took up a job as a city doctor. Apparently he then died there.

In August 1672 ( matriculation number 42 ) he was accepted into the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina . After his death, various funeral pamphlets appeared, for example by Abraham Lindner or Johannes Redwitz, who wrote a four-page Latin mourning poem about him.
