Gottlieb Grabenhofer

Gottlieb Grabenhofer (born February 19, 1872 in Unterschützen ; † August 17, 1945 there ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( Landbund ). Göltl was married, a state councilor in the Burgenland state government and a member of the national council .

Grabenhofer was born as the son of the farmer Gottlieb Grabenhofer from Unterschützen. After primary school he worked as a farmer and was politically active in numerous committees. He was mayor from 1896 to 1906 and then municipal councilor until 1928. Between 1922 and 1933 he also acted as district chairman of the farmers' union and between 1927 and 1936 he was the second president of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture. Between 1924 and 1932 Grabenhofer was a member of the regional party executive committee of the Landbund and held the office of chairman of the Landbund between 1926 and 1927 and between 1931 and 1932. In addition, from 1934 to 1938 he was regional leader deputy of the farmers' union and prevented the corporate accession of the Landbündler to the NSDAP

On August 2, 1927, Grabenhofer succeeded Josef Pomper in the regional government of Rauhofer II and subsequently also belonged to the regional governments of Schreiner I and Thullner , before resigning on December 16, 1929. On August 23, 1932, Grabenhofer succeeded Johann Schober in the National Council, of which he was a member until May 2, 1934. Then Grabenhofer was between November 11, 1934 and March 12, 1938 a member of the Burgenland Landtag.
