Gouramangi Moirangthem Singh (born January 25, 1986 in Imphal ) is an Indian soccer player .

Career

Singh is from the Tata Football Academy . After stints at Mohun Bagan AC , Mahindra United and Sporting Clube de Goa , he joined Churchill Brothers SC in 2007 . Under the leadership of captain and goalscorer Odafe Onyeka Okolie , the Churchill Brothers won the first national championship in the club's history in 2009.

National team

Singh has played at U-17 level for Indian representative teams and gave his debut in 2007 in the Indian senior team . In 2008, the central defender took second place with the national team at the South Asian Championship in June and won the AFC Challenge Cup two months later with a 4-1 win over Tajikistan . The Indian national team was able to qualify for the Asian Cup for the first time since 1984 .

In 2007 and 2009 he won with India in the All India Football Federation aligned Nehru Cup .
