The Gråkammen (translated: Graukamm ) is a mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises up between the Gray Horns and the Aurdalen in the western Petermann chain of the Wohlthatmassiv . For this ridge which includes Tambovskaya peak and Solowjowberg .
It was discovered and mapped during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Participants of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) carried out a new mapping based on their own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs and gave the formation its descriptive name.
